Type of glass / mirror
Picture frame glass (float glass) > maximum size 40 x 50 cm
is available as normal real glass and anti-reflective real glass. It has the typical properties of glass and is available in a material thickness of 2 mm.
The non-mirrored version is etched on one side, resulting in a slightly roughened surface. The image sharpness, light and colour rendition are slightly limited and result in a somewhat matt colour.
This glass is only offered up to a frame size of 50 x 60 cm due to the risk of breakage during shipping.
Crilex art glass (polystyrene) > maximum size 100 x 140 cm
is a transparent, lightweight and break-resistant artificial glass. Due to its lightness and unbreakability, it is often recommended instead of glass. It is used in particular for display in rooms open to the public (such as schools, nurseries, hospitals, government offices, etc.). Crilex is available as art glass, glossy on both sides. The thickness of the sheets is 1.8 mm
and anti-reflective on one side. The anti-reflective version has a panel thickness of 1.5 mm. When using, make sure that the roughened side of the glass panel is inserted into the frame so that it is facing outwards, towards the viewer.
The glass is covered with a protective film on the outside. Please remove this before inserting it into the frame or the interchangeable picture holder.
Crilex art glass is available in sizes up to 100 x 140 cm. Acrylic glass can or should be used for frame sizes larger than this and when framing pictures with different thicknesses.
Acrylic glass (Plexiglas) > maximum size 200 x 300 cm
is very break-resistant and weighs considerably less than glass. The material is colour-neutral and has a very good transmission of light, colours and image sharpness and offers almost 100 % UV protection.
Plexiglas can be used for frames up to a size of 200 x 300 cm. The thickness of the sheets on offer is 3 mm. Plexiglas is available as glossy acrylic glass and acrylic glass with anti-reflective coating on one side. The acrylic glass used comes from the renowned manufacturer of the Plexiglas brand and guarantees very good quality for use in picture frames. The manufacturer, Röhm, gives a 30-year long-term guarantee for Plexiglas. Please note that there is a protective film on the outside of the glass, which must be removed when framing.
Mirror > maximum size 60 x 80 cm
The edges of the 3 mm mirror are unpolished. The mirror can therefore only be used in conjunction with a frame.
Mirrors for in combination with a picture frame can only be offered up to a size of 60 x 80 cm due to the risk of breakage during shipping.

Es bestehen 4 Möglichkeiten im Rahmen das Glas und die Rückwand zu montieren. Die passende Auswahl hängt davon ab, was Sie im Objektrahmen unterbringen möchten. Alle unsere Rahmen sind von hinten zu befüllen.
Schema 1 (für Objekt oder auch Grafik)
Das Glas liegt im Rahmen vorn an der Falz und eine entsprechend hohe Abstandsleiste gibt den Abstand zwischen Glas und Rückwand vor. Einsetzbar für die Befüllung des Rahmens mit einem Objekt und/oder einer Grafik, welche vor der Rückwand liegt. Ein zusätzliches Passepartout kann optional hinter der Glasscheibe oder vor der Rückwand Verwendung finden.
Schema 2 (Grafik vorn) evtl. Hinterleuchtung
Das Glas liegt im Rahmen vorn an der Falz, ein Bild direkt dahinter. Durch Abstandsleiste in einer gewünschten Höhe wird die dahinterliegende Rückwand auf Abstand gehalten. In diesen Zwischenraum kann ein Leuchtmittel eingesetzt werden, um so ein hinterleuchtetes Bild zu erzielen. Ein zusätzliches Passepartout kann hinter der Glasscheibe Verwendung finden.
Schema 3 (Grafik hinten)
Vorn an die Rahmenfalz wird in gewünschter Breite die Abstandsleiste eingesetzt. Anschließend wird das Glas in den Rahmen eingebracht, sowie das Bild und die Rückwand (in dieser Reihenfolge). Wahlweise kann ein Passepartout hinter der Glasscheibe Verwendung finden.
Schema 4 (Grafik vorn) ohne Abstandsleiste
Das Glas liegt im Rahmen vorn an der Falz, ein Bild und die Rückwand direkt dahinter. Es sind keine Abstandsleisten notwendig. Ein zusätzliches Passepartout kann hinter der Glasscheibe Verwendung finden.
